Active Life Professionals are and will be changing the landscape of healthcare. As an ALP I will be bridging the gap between healthcare and fitness. Put simply, I help people get out of pain through fitness, exercise and lifestyle. I assess, not guess and I provide individual solutions to individual problems.
Through 13 months of education working with a designated mentor, covering everything from assessing and programming, breath work, orthopaedic considerations and ending with navigating healthcare.
Why are Active Life Professionals necessary?
You see, there’s fitness (trainers and coaches, ass and abs), and there’s healthcare (doctors, insurance and the healthcare system), and then there’s that huge gap in between.
That’s where all the of the people live who doctors don’t have time to help (because we are asking them to do too much), and who fitness professionals don’t know how to help (because they can work around “it”, but they can’t fix “it”).
Who needs an Active Life Professional?
The person who has been to physical therapy for their back pain, and when it got better and they eased back into activity, it came right back.
The person who went to an orthopedist for their shoulder pain, and was told “just stop lifting overhead”.
The person who went to the chiropractor week after week, month after month for their knee pain, and still can’t run.
The person who wants to say “yes” to being active, whether it’s playing with their kids or grandkids, gardening or being able to go on holiday without having to worry about being able to walk around all day.
In Summary
When a doctor doesn’t have time to resolve their aches and pains and working around it has become uninspiring, that’s where I fit in. Active Life Professionals can and will help those people. In fact, it’s happening right now all over the world.
A whole new industry of life changing professionals are coming.
I am becoming an Active Life Professional.
